January.
7th. Photoshop Night with Richard Greaves. We kick off the new year with some photo editing. Techniques to speed up processing, edit more accurately and boost your images.
14th. Annual Buffet and Prize Giving. Tonight, we will not be at St. Georges Centre. We will be at the Britannia Pub in Pudsey, celebrating our achievements last year. Tickets in advance - members only. See the treasurer & President for full details.
21st. COMPETITION. January Quarterly. The first competition in 2026, our regular open series split into 4 sections. See competition page for information on how this competition works.
28th. Normanton Battle. Our regular battle with Normanton will be soon so we will be picking our images together to ensure our entry is the best it can be.
February.
4th. Guest speaker. Kevin Read. Kevin will be visiting us tonight to give us a lecture on Astrophotography.
11th. YPU Exhibition hand in. Entries to the 2026 Yorkshire Photographic Union Exhibition will be ending soon. Please bing your entries tonight so they can be checked and then uploaded in time. We will be doing some quick review to help authors as well.
18th. Interclub Selection. The club is doing better in the Ineterclub League. We will be meeting to review and select our entry into the next round of this regional club competition.
25th. COMPETITION. Bob Redman. Tonight, we have the Bob Redman Competition. Judge:TBA. This years theme: TBA
March.
4th. Justin Lee - guest presenter.
11th. COMPETITION. Tony Mitchell Trophy. A three image competition with each image being on a different subject. In 2026 these are TBA. See the competition section for more details on how this competition is run. Judge:TBA
18th. Alan Bulmer. Alan will be demonstrating using flash triggers that sync for use with watar droplet photography.
25th. YPU Print Portfolio. The Print Portfolio from the YPU returns again. A chance to get up close to some of the best photographic prints from the region.
April.
1st. Interclub Selection. The club is doing better in the Interclub League. We will be meeting to review and select our entry into the last round of this regional club competition.
8th. Studio Night. The first of our in house studio nights. Bring your camera. We have flash triggers for most makes of digital camera and we will be getting model for the evening.
15th. Auction Night. We will be holding our in house auction again tonight - raising money for the club. If you wish to donate oany old items for selling for club funds then bring them along.
22nd. COMPETITION. April Quarterly. The second of our open quarterly competitions. See HERE for details.
29th. Guest speaker Adrian Wilson BSc MEng MSc will be visiting tonight to present a lecture on Drone Photography.
May.
6th. AV Night. We will be showing an AV tonight from the PAGB archives. Hopefully it will be national competition related.
13th. 10 Minute Stars. A chance to show a handful of images you may be working on without having to fill an entire evening.
20th. A NEW COMPETITION. The Calendar Competition. The club has decided we are going to attempt to sell a calendar locally. This competition replaces the out of camera' competition. See here for full details.
27th. Infra Red Conversion. Ever thought about converting a camera to 'infra-red'? Tonight Richard Greaves will be stripping a DSLR down and doing just that so you can all see what is involved.
June.
3rd. Night Out. Tonight we will be venturing outside with our cameras and visiting a local landmark for some evening photography.

17th. COMPETITION - The Elsie Freeman competition and the Small Print Competition. Held together on the same night. The small print is for those who do not have a full size A3 printer. See competition pages for rules and details.
24th. Photoshop Night with Richard Greaves. Another night of image editing using the popular Photoshop platform. Tools, improvements and techniques to improve your finished images.
July.
1st. ICONIC... Tonight Richard is going to show us some images from a famous photographer with narration of their history.
8th. Jane Ellis. Jane will once again be showing us some interesting images.
15th. Night Out. Tonight we will be venturing outside with our cameras and visiting a local landmark for some evening photography.

5th. AV Night. The AV from the 2026 YPU Exhibition will have been released by this date. We will be looking at the video of the exhibition.

2nd. Calendar Creation Night. A bit of work to do! Members tonight will be helping assemble a stack of prints into actual calendars that will be sold first at the Middleton Park Gala and then to a wider audience.

28th. Table Top Photography night. Bring your camera for this practical night. Also bring in anything 'spooky' as we will be setting up some tables for a bit of close up still life with a Hallowe'en theme.
November.
4th. AGM. Our annual general meeting to discuss the club, vote in officers and review activities for the past 12 months. It's your club and tonight is a great night to have your say about it.
11th. COMPETITION - Lightowler and Colour Awards. A premium competition for 'panels of three'. One for colour and one for mono.
18th. Judith Macbeth. Our own Judith Macbeth will be showcasing some of her work this evening.
25th. COMPETITION - Padgett Trophy. The Padgett trophy is an open competition where members enter 3 images. Each image is given a score out of 20. The best score wins. There is a 'handicap' system in place - where anyone winning a competition this year has a point knocked off their maximum score for each competition they have won. December.
2nd. Presidents Night. Our President, Steve Bavill, will be filling tonight with some of the photo's he's taken in the last 12 months.
9th. COMPETITION - Image Of The Year. Our last competition of the year. Winning images from all the previous competitions compete for a best image class. See competition page for details.
